About Us

Dementia Resource Community was founded in 2015 by Cathrina Moore RMN, RGN for the purpose of connecting likeminded people who want to improve life for those living with neurological illness and the symptoms they encountered as a result.

A partnership was formed with Dementia UK in 2016 with Chapel House Care, Dementia Resource Community Ltd is an non-profit subsidiary of the Chapel House Care. Our Admiral Nursing pilot commenced in 2017 and Cathrina undertook Admiral Nurse case work as part of an isolation project GIFT Network. This work was evaluated as part of a national study by Dementia UK   https://www.dementiauk.org/for-professionals/research-and-evaluation/geans-getting-evidence-admiral-nurse-services/  whist the service remained very small we were able to demonstrate to local commissioners that we can make a difference to those living with a dementia diagnosis.

We now provide those services to a number key partner organisations in the North West and employ eight specialist nurses across Cheshire & Wirral, enabling people to access free impartial professional specialist support.

Additional services are available on a sessional/contractual basis as follows:

Employee welfare clinics for cooperate organisations who have employees who have carer responsibilities alongside their employed roles.

We can provide training to meet individual organisations needs outside of our commissioned scope of practice by arrangement.

Locality based services for like minded organisations.
